What We Believe
Our Mission
Our goal and mission are to take the gospel outside of our four-walled structure, as we attempt to provide you not only with information about our church but also about the various outreach ministries within our assembly.
What We Believe
STATEMENT OF FAITH
- WE believe the Bible to be the inspired authoritative Word of God.
- WE believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, His atoning death through His blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory to rule over the Earth as King and Lord of Lords.
- WE believe all who repent and receive Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior are born of the Spirit by whose in-dwelling the Christian in enabled to live a Godly and victorious life.
- WE believe that it is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit.
- WE believe healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer.
- WE believe there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust. And man’s eternal judgment before God.
- WE believe in the water baptism and observance of the Lord’s Supper.
Jesus is the divine Son of God. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, His miracles, His bodily and atoning death, victorious resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His intercession, and His imminent return in power and glory.
STATEMENT OF BELIEF
We believe there is one true and living God who is eternal, existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is called the Trinity (Tri-unity).
We believe that Jesus Christ is the very Son of God. We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life. We also believe that Jesus was a crucified divine person, and the Holy Spirit, who was promised and sent to the early Church for empowerment in Christian living and demonstrations of God’s power. The Holy Spirit is still present and active in the life of every believer through fruit and gifts. The Holy Spirit is our abiding comforter and helper and leads us in declaring Jesus.
BIBLE
The Bible is a cohesive collection of books that all tell one story about God’s love for people demonstrated through Jesus. It is infallible, authoritative and everlasting. We believe that it was written by human authors who were inspired by God and that it is the foundation of Christian doctrine.
HUMANITY
God created both men and women in His image, and humans are the supreme object of His creation. All of us have been marred by sin and separated from God. We are unable to repair this relationship through our own effort or merit, thus we are in need of a Savior.
“The Lord God Almighty has sworn, ‘Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand'” (Isaiah 14:24)
